Director of Sales and Marketing
Objective:
The sales and marketing director manages and oversees the sales operations and marketing efforts. Main duties include designing plans to meet sales targets, developing and cultivating relationships with clients, leading a team of sales executives, and evaluating costs to determine pricing. In this position the director will function as the business leader of the property’s sales department, provides day to day leadership to a medium team of on-property sales executives and pulls through several above-property sales channels (e.g., Area Sales, Group Sales within the Sales Office, Banquet and Special Event sales to achieve hotel sales objectives, booking goals and property revenues. Develops strategic working relationships with leaders of these sales channels to proactively position and drive sales to the property. Interfaces with the Regional Marketing & e Commerce team to review collateral and execute the property’s marketing plan as well as pull through regional and national promotions. Develops and implements property–wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand’s target customer profile and property associates and provides a return on investment to the owner and Marriott International.
Minimum experience of 2 years in Hospitality Marketing and Sales
Bachelor’s degree in business administration with emphasis in marketing and sales a plus
Marsha systems domain, Opera a plus
Office packages (Excel at intermediate – advanced level)
Proficiency in verbal and written English.
Knowledge of accounting software, mathematical skills, and budget analysis capabilities
Demonstrated skills in supervising a team
