The Financial Analyst, TAVR position is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional Finance professional to join a ~$4 billion Global business unit that is continuing to innovate in Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement. This position is an integral part of the TAVR Finance team in Irvine supporting financial planning, forecasting, accounting and reporting activities.
How you’ll make an impact:
Provide guidance using solid application of sound financial business practices for business unit decision making.
Partner with TAVR finance partners in preparation and consolidation of AOP, long term Strategy Plan and Monthly Forecasts, inclusive of sales and operating expenses, in the forecasting system.
Support month-end and quarterly accounting activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, to provide meaningful variance analysis and commentary
Contribute to meaningful presentations of financial data and analyses to communicate financial results, recommendations, and insights.
Supporting management in identifying process improvements.
Prepare and update documentation of FP&A processes.
Supporting Strategic Plan and Annual Operating Plan key deliverables.
Support ad hoc reporting and analysis and support other initiatives as needed.
What you'll need (Required):
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and 3 years of previous related experience Required and Financial planning and analysis Preferred.
What else we look for (Preferred):
Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel, Power Point and related financial systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including consultative and relationship management skills
Solid problem-solving, critical thinking, and investigative skills
Experience working in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) preferred
Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Good knowledge of financial concepts and principles
Good understanding of multi-relational impact of the Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow Statement and how journal entries affect each statement
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
Strict attention to detail
Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and representing the department on specific projects
Ability to build productive internal/external working relationships
