At Navitaire, the Senior Scrum Master is accountable for accelerating the flow of value delivery at the Agile team level by embracing and promoting the Lean-Agile values and principles. Facilitates the team and train ceremonies and is the guardian of the Scrum/Kanban artifacts; communicates with stakeholders, escalates impediments, helps manage risks, and strives to improve this all in a robust way, restlessly.
In this role you'll:
The Scrum Master Senior Specialist coaches 1 or more Agile teams, in a scaled Agile environment like in SAFe. The Scrum Master Senior Specialist is accountable for teaching Agile methodology and practices to his/her team members. They contribute actively and regularly to the Scrum Master Community and are a reference for other Scrum Masters of the Agile Release Train. The Scrum Master Senior Specialist operates in a certain level of complexity (complex train set-up, lot of dependencies cross teams...). Among his/her responsibilities are:
Key Functional Accountabilities

Coach team leaders and team members in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets

Implement Agile best practices with teams and coach them to maturity

Identify and implement techniques to improve team effectiveness utilizing an empirical approach

Support one or more Agile teams

Facilitate Agile events and stakeholder collaboration, as well as sync meetings as required.

Foster an environment of mutual influence, encourage personal development, and support the commitment made by the Agile team.

Manage risk and dependencies and cause the removal of impediments

Implement metrics to Manage and optimize the flow of value through the Agile team

Summarize Team goals and communicate to team members and stakeholders for visibility and transparency

Work with Product Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders and help create and maintain a value-focused backlog

Act as a key change agent related to agile transformation efforts

Contribute to the Agile Communities of Practice Co P

Has strong communication/presentation/negotiation skills to interact with teams and leadership effectively.
About the ideal candidate:
-
Minimum 5 years of experience with software development methodologies and agile development
-
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master, RTE, or Kanban Coach

Experience working with multiple cross-functional Agile teams with at least 5-7 team members each
-
Experience with tools such as Github, Azure Dev Ops (ADO), Jira, Rally, Version One, etc.

Experience in querying data and building reports using Power BI

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Share Point, Confluence ,Word.

Airline or travel industry experience is helpful

Certifications from Scrum.org, Scrum Alliance, PMI, SAFe, Le SS, or similar

Experience in basic project management principles

Technical skills & understanding of development and cloud computing
Education:
BA or BS or equivalent experience is required
