Salesforce Administrator
Job Description
The Salesforce Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day management and support of our Salesforce environment. This role includes system maintenance, configuration, customization, and user support. The Salesforce Admin will work closely with business stakeholders to optimize and enhance the system to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities
System Management and Maintenance
- Perform daily administration and support tasks such as user setup, profiles, roles, customization of objects, fields, record types, page layouts, and validations.
- Maintain security settings, user permissions, and data integrity.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Configuration and Customization
- Implement and manage changes to the system using change management processes.
- Customize Salesforce to meet the unique needs of the business including creating custom objects, fields, formulas, workflows, and validation rules.
- Develop and maintain Lightning components and Apex code (if required).
Data Management
- Perform data imports, exports, and updates using data loader tools.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity through regular data audits and de-duplication activities.
- Create and manage reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights to business stakeholders.
User Support and Training
- Provide support to Salesforce users across all departments.
- Create and maintain training materials and conduct training sessions for new users and ongoing training for existing users.
- Address user questions, resolve issues, and provide best practices to improve user adoption and efficiency.
Process Improvement
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities.
- Implement and optimize Salesforce features to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Stay updated with Salesforce releases and feature changes and make recommendations for their implementation.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Salesforce Administrator certification (Salesforce Certified Administrator) is required. Advanced certifications (such as Advanced Administrator, Sales Cloud Consultant, or Service Cloud Consultant) are a plus.
- 3+ years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator or in a related role.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with Salesforce Lightning experience.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality.
- Experience with Salesforce data tools (e.g., Data Loader, Demand Tools).
- Basic knowledge of Salesforce development tools (Apex, Visualforce) is a plus but not required.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing requirements.
