What will you do
The Category buyer II is responsible for:
Supporting the development and execution of category practices for indirect categories (Marketing, IT, HR Services, Travel, Meetings and Events), including support of sourcing strategy definition, sourcing project execution and stakeholder alignment
Supporting the execution of the sourcing projects.
Acts as the point of interaction between the Regional Category Leaders and the procurement operations team and commercial and supply chain areas.
Key Responsibilities: Aligns with stakeholders
Supports the Regional Category Managers with the identification of stakeholders, the initiation of the strategy development as well as execution of sourcing projects
Actively engages with stakeholders as defined in alignment with the Category Managers throughout the strategy development and sourcing execution process
Ensures that the input from the stakeholders is considered in the process
Prepares the stage gate documentation
Supports sourcing
Supports the Regional Category Managers in the analysis and definition of the category spend baseline and category profile, incl. risks assessment and SRM strategy
Supports development of Go-To-Market and negotiation strategies in alignment with the Category Managers and ensures proper documentation
Provides support during the supplier screening and supplier selection process
Assists in the development of RFIs / RFPs
Supports preparation of supplier communication packages
Supports Procurement Trainings to stakeholders or users.
Prepares negotiation packages based on facts and analysis
Supports preparation of transition or implementation plan
Performs sourcing activities
o Performs Category Manager activities for projects with limited complexity
Manages the procurement strategy implementation / sourcing execution for a less complex category
Drives supplier performance by, for example, discussing lessons learned from one region and making sure that the supplier builds on those lessons learned to improve service levels in another country or region.
o Executes end-to-end sourcing projects for less complex categories
Participates in internal and external analysis (industry & supplier) in collaboration with Category Managers
Performs supplier selection and fact-based negotiations, validated by the Category Manager
Involves the business for actions related to supplier base optimization, KPI implementation and follow up, etc.
Conducts spend map analysis to monitor spend and ensure that all purchases follow the purchasing process
Continuously tracks forecasted vs. actual savings according to the Value Tracking Process for category in scope - defines corrective/optimization actions if needed and follows up on them (escalate to Category Manager, if needed)
o Acts as an interface to Operations and commercial and supply chain teams and interacts with them o Provides insights on Procurement analytics and data to support the development of the new projects. o Escalates issues to the Category Manager

What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications
The candidate must have a University Degree in a Major Discipline (ie. Engineering, Business, Finance , Economics, )
• The candidate should have a good English level, both written and speaking • Experience: 3-6 years’ professional experience in indirect categories or other related positions, preferably knowledge of categories at hand and working in an Multicultural environment; good experience with supplier selection, negotiation and contracting area is necessary.
Experience with data analysis and proficiency in Tableau or Power BI.
Language: English intermediate or Multi-lingual (based on the regional requirement)
