Controller
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Controller with 4-5 years of public accounting experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. The Controller will be responsible for managing our bookkeeper, financial operations and financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
Pay: $18,000 - $25,000 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

- Oversee all financial aspects of the company, including financial planning, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Work alongside the CFO and provide guidance and support to team members
- Maintain financial models, forecasts, budgets, month end closes and consolidated financial statements
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to the CFO
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations
- Manage and prepare consolidated multi entity financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial goals are aligned with business objectives
- Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- 4-5 years of public accounting experience, preferably with a Big 4 firm
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in financial software, including Excel, financial planning and analysis tools, and accounting software
- Master's degree in Accounting or related field
- Experience with accounting software, such as Quickbooks
- Experience with financial reporting and compliance with US GAAP
