We are currently seeking a
Window & Screen Assembler
to join our team. This opportunity involves working with specialized equipment and tools to assemble wood doors and related hardware.
Main Responsibilities and Duties · Selecting, inspecting, cutting, shaping and fitting PVC profiles to required dimensions using machines, hand and power tools. · Milling, notching and drilling profiles as required for window hardware installation. · Placing profiles in correct orientation for placement in corner welding machine. · Completing the order paperwork to continue the flow of window production. · Reading order paperwork to determine what type of accessory (brickmold, drywall return, etc.) that is required to be installed on window frame. · Using hand tools, and chop saws to cut and install accessories required to assemble and complete window frame in correct orientation and position. · Position window frame in correct orientation in corner cleaning machine. · Cut, assemble and screen window screens according to dimensions on order paperwork. · Clean, trim and sand products into final form. · Inspect and confirm quality of workmanship. · Keep a clean workstation, machinery and surrounding areas. Work Environment Working inside a shop and production line environment. Dusty conditions. Physically demanding for heavy lifting, standing, bending. Work sites require full PPE. 40-hour work weeks. Qualifications · Completion of secondary school · Must have a minimum of 2 or more years experience in working as a window and screen assembler · Aptitude for math, measuring and the use of power/hand tools are a must · Knowledge of and experience with job related safety procedures · Punctual and strong work ethic are a must · Willing to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) · Willing to learn and take additional training as required · Forklift experience is an asset We thank all those who apply but only those selected for further consideration will be contacted.
