Utility Electric Meter Installer/Installateur de Compteurs
We are conducting electric meter upgrades in the Moncton/Bouctouche/Sackville/Shediac area for NB Power, and are hiring Full Time Temporary Bilingual Electric Meter Installers! Applicants need to be at least 18 years of age, hold a valid driver’s license and have a clean criminal and driving history. Successful candidates will also need to be fluent in both English and French. Project is expected to run for approximately 9 months. NO EXPERIENCE is required with paid training! This position is responsible for installing single phase electric meters by replacing an existing meter (change-out). The new meter and meter module are installed to automate the process of reading a meter for accurate consumption and billing.

All of our field staff are provided with:
- Safety gear including company boot (allowance), vests, glasses, etc.
- After the initial classroom training and field training (Paid hourly), employees will be transitioned to being paid on a piece work basis which allows most of our employees to earn in excess of $21/hr.

Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- Must successfully pass pre-employment screenings: background check and driving record
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm
- Must be able to walk up to 5-10 km per day
- Fluency in both English and French
- Day shift hours, Monday-Friday
- Outdoor work environment
- Little supervision to give you freedom to work independently and manage your own day
- Successfully complete the company’s training program and pass applicable written and field tests
- Learn and apply safety measure relating to motor vehicle operation and other field related matters
