Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the quality of freight during transit.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations in a safe and timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, promoting safety at all times.
- Perform basic automotive repair tasks as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.
- Valid Class 1 license required.
- Proven 2 years experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Basic knowledge of automotive repair is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet delivery deadlines while maintaining high safety standards.
