Shop Manager
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy kitchen cabinet refinishing and refacing shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management, be skilled at leading a team, and be committed to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy kitchen cabinet refinishing and refacing shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management, be skilled at leading a team, and be committed to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage and update the weekly production schedule to ensure all jobs are completed on time.
- Supervise and coach shop staff to reduce rework and improve processes, particularly focusing on resprays flagged by the Quality Control team.
- Hold weekly shop meetings and bi-weekly one-on-one meetings with key staff to ensure clear communication and alignment on goals.
- Ensure labor efficiency targets are met, maintaining a shop labor target of 11%.
- Develop, update, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed, and ensure staff are trained and compliant.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the shop across multiple bays, ensuring smooth workflows and timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain and organize the shop facility, ensuring equipment is regularly maintained and all safety protocols are followed.
- Lead the safety committee and ensure the shop remains compliant with safety regulations.
- Proven experience in shop management, production, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and improving efficiency.
- Leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and develop a team.
- Familiarity with production scheduling and efficiency management tools (experience with Jobber and Slack is a plus).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a production environment.
- Ability to develop and implement SOPs to streamline shop operations.
- Full-time, permanent position.
- Competitive salary: $60,000 to $75,000 per year, depending on experience.
