YOUR MISSION
Under the authority of the Head of Specialty, the apprentice shoemaker will be responsible for supporting the shoe specialist in these tasks:

Manufacture shoes from technical documents while respecting deadlines and suggest improvements if necessary;
- Interpret, create and modify shoe patterns;
- Cut the parts manually and with a press used in the manufacture of shoes;
- Perform the assembly (sewing) of shoe parts;
- Assemble and finish shoes;
- Carry out fittings with the artists in collaboration with the various stakeholders;
- Ensure the integration of new work techniques developed;
- Apply Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group procedures and standards;
- Gather the information needed to develop technical documents, write and update them, ensuring their accuracy;
- Maintain tools and equipment;
YOUR UNIQUE EXPERTISE

Diploma in college studies (DEC) in leather goods, training in shoemaking or the equivalent;
- Real interest in techniques related to shoes: patronage, cutting, assembly and fitting;
- Manual ability and ability to perform work requiring regular repetitive movements, precision and attention to detail and which may require some physical effort;
- Computer skill;
- Artistic sense, creativity and curiosity;
- Autonomy, sense of organization, versatility, flexibility and resourcefulness;
- Ability to use and handle certain chemicals;
- Ability to adapt to change and work to tight deadlines;
- Fluency in French and English (spoken and written);
