Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated Servers to join our team at Grandpa's Cafe - a Mexican-Style restaurant with a Western charm. As a server, you will be the face of our restaurant providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring a memorable dining experience. You will take orders, deliver food and beverages, and anticipate guests' needs to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide them with menus
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Answer questions about menu items, ingredients and preparation methods
- Relay orders to the kitchen and ensure timely delivery of food and drinks
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or special requests
- Handle payments and process transactions accurately using POS systems
- Collaborate with kitchen and other staff to ensure smooth communication and service flow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area and server stations
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe dining environment for guests and staff
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a server in a restaurant setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and outgoing demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of basic food and beverage service techniques
- attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
