Safety Program Coordinator
Job Overview:
The Safety Program Coordinator is pivotal in upholding Town & Country's commitment to a safe work environment. This role is responsible for the strategic coordination of our safety program and the sustainment of our Certificate of Recognition (COR) status.
Core Responsibilities:
Implement strategic initiatives under the guidance of the Safety Manager to ensure the effective administration of the safety program, aligning with company objectives.
Oversee the Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) process to ensure comprehensive risk management.
Manage and curate documentation within the Site Docs application, ensuring compliance and accessibility.
Support the Occupational Health Committee (OHC) in executing their responsibilities, while also leading the Safety Committee's functions.
Conduct safety and toolbox talks to reinforce safety awareness and practices.
Facilitate the Return-to-work protocol.
Conduct comprehensive site inspections to affirm workplace safety.
Administer daily operations of the safety management system, maintaining a high standard of safety practices.
Develop and implement effective corrective actions in response to incident reports and investigations, near misses and audit findings.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislative developments, industry trends, and best practices related to workplace safety.

Qualifications:
A minimum of 2–3 years experience in the construction industry.
Certification in SCSA safety courses, including but not limited to LSE, Safety auditor training, Safety management, Basic training techniques and WHMIS.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Proven capability to lead educational programs and effectively present information to varied audiences.
Possession of a valid driver’s license.
Desirable Credentials:
Certification in the National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) program is highly advantageous.
Work Environment:
A work environment typical of the building construction industry, entailing both office-based work and on-site engagements.
Remuneration:
Salary based on qualifications. Range $52,000 - $73,000 per year. This full-time role offers competitive benefits and an RRSP matching program.
