The Opportunity
In order to maintain the highest level of After Sales Support we are seeking a Resident Agricultural Service technician to join our team to provide an outstanding level of service and support to our Manitoba customer base. The successful candidate must have a sound technical knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
Knowledge of crop sprayers would be an advantage due to primary servicing will be the Agrifac Sprayer line along with other Hepson Vendors like JCB, Penta, DEMCO. Full product training will be given. To be successful in this role you will need to be self-motivated, able to work alone and as part of a team with a flexible approach. This role will be field-based mainly focusing on breakdowns and routine maintenance for customers across Manitoba as well as overhaul and repair of second hand/customer machines.
Responsibilities
Main duties expected of the candidate include but are not limited to:
Reporting faults to relevant parties
Stripping down, fault-finding and replacing parts
Servicing, maintenance, and repairs of agricultural machinery
Complete job sheets and forms for warranty claims
Experience in welding would be advantageous but not essential
Attending breakdowns
Tasks & Responsibilities:
As a Field Service Technician for Hepson Equipment, you will be responsible for providing support to our growing customer base in the province of Manitoba mainly on the east side.
Responsibilities of the role will include diagnostics and repairs on hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems and pre-delivery works Primarily on Agrifac Self-Propelled Sprayers and rest of Hepson product lineup.
Qualifications:
Relevant Mechanical trade qualifications
Ability to diagnose Mechanical, Electrical, and Hydraulic Systems
Experience in CAN bus decoding preferred
Full Drivers Licence, ability to drive standard equipment
Experience with Self Propelled Sprayers would be advantageous
Great customer service and communication skills
The ability to work unsupervised
Physical Abilities
Regularly be required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and smell
Will frequently be required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and occasionally sit, reach with hands and arms, and climb or balance;
Must be capable of heavy lifting and moving parts up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis;
Must be able to work on your feet (stand or walk) for the entire assigned work shift;
Driving motor vehicles and heavy equipment is occasionally required;
Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate equipment;
Specific visual abilities required of this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud;
Work is frequently performed inside and occasionally around hazardous machinery;
Occasionally be exposed to outside weather conditions and moving mechanical parts and vibration;
The employee is occasionally exposed to high temperatures, fumes, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
