**PLEASE NOTE: This position is located in our Esterhazy, SK property. Preference will be given to candidates in the Esterhazy area, however, if you can commute or relocate for this position, we look forward to hearing from you.
Position Summary:
In the role of Residential Maintenance your primary responsibility is completing general maintenance in the areas of plumbing, painting, carpentry, flooring and appliances repair. This position is working both indoors and outdoors. The Residential Maintenance strives to give the residents professional, timely and competent service for all maintenance related requests.
Qualifications:
· 3 to 5 years of experience working in the maintenance field
· Industry experience is an asset
· Painting, plaster and drywall experience
· Basic plumbing experience (P Traps, changing facet systems, fixing toilets, etc.)
· Flooring (laminate and vinyl) experience
· Must be available for after hour maintenance and emergency services
· Carpentry experience
· Must have a valid driver’s license and dependable vehicle
· Must have a clear criminal background check
Skills and Abilities:
· Problem solving, troubleshooting and decision-making skills
· Able to work as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision
· Able to work in a variety of weather conditions (with temperatures ranging from -30C to +30C)
· Able to communicate effectively
Job Requirements:
General Maintenance
· Maintain the daily operations of the apartment buildings, and parking lots, including occasional plumbing, painting, locksmith repairs, and other maintenance related duties as assigned
· Maintain and repair residential building electrical appliances, outlets, fixtures and accessories
· Maintain and repair gutters, downspouts, flashings, shakes, unitized roofing materials, and panel roofing systems
· Maintain and repair walls and wall coverings of residential buildings including roll wall coverings and paint
· Execute carpentry work
· Complete apartment renovations
· Repair and hang drywall
· Maintain and repair ceramic tiles, vinyl tiles, laminate, linoleum, carpet and underlay in residential buildings
· Complete weekly and monthly checklists, responding to emergency maintenance requests, perform renovation and remodeling, and maintaining proper records of scheduled maintenance
Preventative Maintenance
· Check apartments/buildings/townhouses on a regular basis for insects, pests, and rodents and start the process for extermination
· Perform weekly and monthly preventative maintenance including but not limited to changing filters, belts, grease, calibration and adjustment of temperature control systems in the mechanical rooms and each floor
Additional Duties
· Responsible for grounds keeping duties such as snow and ice removal and lawn mowing
· Ensure that security and safety measures are in place
· Work with external vendors to source products/services for repair work
· Familiar with Landlord and Tenant legal considerations as they relate to repairs, changes or improvements
· Ensure work is completed in a timely manner, within budget and to Macro Properties safety standard
· Maintain a clean work environment and ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations
· Report to work on time with a professional appearance
· Assist other employees as required by Property Manager

Working Conditions and Other Attributes:
· Use and operate hand/power tools
· Use and operate equipment such as power lawn mowers and small tractors
· Physically demanding work involving repetitive (continuous walking, bending, kneeing, climbing and kneeling)
· Able to lift up to 23 kg (50lbs)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Overtime
