If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are looking for dedicated individuals to join us as Barton Reading Tutors. As a Barton Reading Tutor, you'll work one-on-one with children, youth, and adults, helping them improve their reading, writing, and spelling skills. Using the internationally recognized Barton Reading and Writing System, based on the Orton-Gillingham approach, you will break down the fundamentals of reading and spelling for learners. Our multisensory approach engages all senses – visual, auditory, tactile, and kinesthetic – ensuring a holistic learning experience for individuals with reading difficulties or disabilities. Qualifications:
Engaging with students who experience difficulties in reading and spelling necessitates proficiency in speaking, reading, and spelling in the English language.
Post-secondary education with a focus on English literature, psychology, or education is an asset.
Demonstrated experience and additional skills will also be considered.
Previous tutoring experience is a plus.
Successful completion of child and adult registry checks prior to tutoring is mandatory.
