Mc Cain Foods (Canada) are currently looking for a team player who has excellent attention to detail to join our Quality Control team as a QC Technician (Grader).
Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Must be able to work shifts on a rotating basis
Responsible for following all safety requirements as discussed during orientation
Responsible for the accurate completion of all TQC documentation and HACCP system procedures for the Production areas, including any and all established testing or grading requirements
Ensure that all Lab equipment is in good working condition and report issues to the Quality Supervisor
Responsible to utilize SAP, including data entry in SAP.
Ability to work very closely with the Production department to insure products meet the approved specification
Maintaining a neat work area, as well as a daily housekeeping report of the area
Responsible for identification and reporting of product quality issues
Participate in Team meetings, as required
Operates all of the equipment associated with testing (Repack, FF, Grading and Check weights)
Incumbent will be required to cross-train
Quality checks of finished product must be monitored to ensure customer satisfaction
Perform standard tests to ensure finished quality
Cleaning / housekeeping of lab area
Filling out paperwork and entering data on computer accurately and efficiently
Communicate any changes, issues, etc. to other operators.
Must maintain all required documentation and check sheets, including entering data on Sanitation Day.
Ensure SQCDPE targets are met by understanding and goal setting of KPI's
Must follow "Good Manufacturing Practices" (GMP's)
All additional duties as they become assigned.
Qualifications:
Grade 12 or GED
Basic computer skills are required
Ability to work well with plant supervision and production employees
Team player with excellent attendance
Successful completion of 90-day training period
Ability to accept and embrace change in day to day operations
