Processing Plant/Oyster Farm Worker
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Aquaculture Worker to join our team. We are a multi-faceted aquaculture business in growth mode seeking long-term capable employees for permanent employment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain boats and outboard motors
- Perform heavy lifting (+50lbs) and manual labour as needed
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment, it is critical that you know how to put them away.
- Support with the upkeep of farm infrastructure and facilities
-Work with a crew to ensure a steady, healthy crop
- Any trade skills are valued, especially electrical.
-Must live in the area, we have no ability to hire overseas workers.
Requirements
- Experience in heavy equipment operation and mechanical knowledge preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labour in various weather conditions
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other machinery
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Knowledge of aquaculture, oysters, clams, breeding and/or biology a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00-$33.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
