Process Efficiency Analyst

The members of the Inland Group of Companies (IDS, Inland Technologies and Quantem Aviation Services) are highly experienced in aircraft de-icing, environmental management, aircraft fueling, ground handling and pretty much any other aviation support service you can think of. We operate at over 50 airports in three countries.


Position Overview:

Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering, Maintenance and Canadian Operations, analyzing the processes within our Canadian operations, identifying opportunities for improvement and helping to facilitate the optimizations. Working with the leadership within the Canadian organization to lead and/or facilitate the implementation of the identified process efficiencies and optimizations. Process assessments and optimizations will encompass all aspects of the operation, including but not limited to fluid processing improvements, cost reductions, data management and reporting, administrative optimizations, profitability improvements, make versus buy assessments, identifying invoicing opportunities of value-add services provided and general modernization of the Canadian operations.


As the ideal candidate, you will bring the following skills and experience to this role:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant capacity;
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with ability to listen to others and value opinions, interpret information, promote and execute ideas, prepare reports and presentations, and provide foundation of open communication;
  • Proactive, problem solver, independent, self-motivated, independent with initiative, professional and positive response(s) in day to day tasks as well as in high pressure situations;
  • Ability to work independently or with multiple groups to gather and analyze relevant data and information and generate proposals to leadership for evaluation;
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with all project stakeholders;
  • Innovative and successful in change management practices;
  • Adapt quickly and easily to changing circumstances and priorities;
  • Strong and effective time management and organizational skills;
  • Manipulate multiple initiatives and conflicting deadlines at once while applying diligence and thoroughness to tasks at hand;
  • Project management experience is considered an asset;
  • Experience in an industrial processing environment is considered an asset;
  • Experience participating and/or leading a cross functional multi disciplined team;
  • Advanced computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel);
  • Knowledge and experience in data base creation and/or manipulation as well as API functionality is considered an asset.


While the full job description is available upon request, the most essential duties and responsibilities of this position include:

  • Promoting and adhering to our safety and respectful workplace culture and instilling this culture while ensuring that IDS is following all Government Labour, Health and Safety laws, regulations and policies;
  • Analyze processes within the Canadian operations and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements;
  • Develop detailed proposals for implementing the identified improvements;
  • Working with stakeholders, facilitate the implementation with identified goals and objectives;
  • Manage a hopper of identified opportunities by comparing and prioritizing the initiatives for implementation;
  • As appropriate, develop the business case by identifying what it takes to achieve the identified efficiency gains and the cost and payback;
  • Monitor progress and provide regular status reports to stakeholders;
  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements;
  • Examine existing procedures for opportunities for streamlining activities to meet operational needs;
  • Development of detailed plans/tasks for the defined project;
  • Direct or coordinate purchasing and financial forecasting services or activities to limit costs and improve accuracy, customer service, or safety;
  • Monitor performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements. Implement and report alternative solutions as needed;
  • Review data to identify trends, patterns, anomalies and make recommendations regarding changes to improve quality levels and optimized outcomes;
  • Promote consistent reinforcement and adherence to the Inland Groups mission, values and purpose;
  • Work with the V.P on special projects, such as project implementation, future project forecasting, end of season recap;


Certifications/Licenses:

  • Degree is required, with preference in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering or a post secondary degree in a relevant field;
  • Post secondary education;
  • Valid driver’s license.
