DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain and update employee information, such as records of employee attendance, leave and overtime to calculate pay and benefit entitlements, computerized systems.
Prepare and verify statements of earnings for employees, indicating gross and net salaries and deductions such as taxes, garnishments and insurance and pension plans
Identify and resolve discrepancies in payroll records and transactions.
Prepare and maintain detailed audit reports and documentation.
Collaborate with HR Team to address payroll-related issues and implement process improvements.
Ensure compliance with federal and local payroll regulations.
Assist in the preparation of payroll-related financial reports and statements.
Provide support during internal and external audits.
Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
With typing speed of at least minimum 45 or more WPM.
Previous experience in payroll & auditing.
Proficient in Microsoft excel.
Ability in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Excellent organization, planning and time management skills.
Demonstrates excellent judgment within the scope of duties.
Excels in a fast-paced environment of growth and change.
Ability to pay attention to details and produce timely results.
Highly motivated and self-directed, capable of multitasking, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Accuracy is highly important.
Strong communicator.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate should possess an accounting certificate/diploma, or equivalent experience (4+yrs) in this role.
Knowledge of general accounting practices
