Pastry Cook

Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with a focus on creating delectable pastries and desserts. As a Pastry Cook, you will play a vital role in enhancing our menu offerings and ensuring customer satisfaction through delicious baked goods.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair to enhance visual appeal.
  • Ensure all food handling and preparation practices comply with food safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new dessert offerings and seasonal specials.
  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of baking supplies and ingredients.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to special requests or dietary restrictions when applicable.
  • Participate in training sessions to improve skills related to food preparation and safety.
Skills
  • Proven experience in the food industry, specifically in pastry preparation and baking techniques.
  • Proficient in cake decorating skills, with an eye for detail in presentation.
  • Strong understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
  • Creativity and passion for baking, with a willingness to experiment with new recipes and ideas.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively while ensuring timely production of baked goods.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
