Pastry Cook

Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for creating delicious pastries, cakes, and desserts that delight our customers. Your creativity and attention to detail will play a key role in enhancing our menu offerings.

Duties
  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards.
  • Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, ensuring visual appeal as well as taste.
  • Package baked goods for display or sale, maintaining quality and presentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of orders during service hours.
  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons when necessary and accommodating special requests.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role in the food industry is preferred.
  • Strong skills in cake decorating and presentation techniques.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
