UPDATING DATABASE FOR FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES NO START DATE FOR THIS POSITION Position: Onshore Labourer Employment Type: Casual/On-Call JOB SUMMARY: Help and Assist with inspection of lifting equipment. PREREQUISITES/QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Previous laborer experience required
Previous offshore experience considered an asset
Forklift Certificate considered an asset
Hard Working and Dependable
Strong Safety Background
Experience being on call – available on short notice
Basic PPE (safety boots, coveralls, hard hat, work gloves, safety glasses, rain gear, etc)
Must pass Background/Pre-Employment Screening Checks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with inspection of lifting equipment, place lifting equipment in rigging lofts
Perform housekeeping duties as instructed
Assist with pulling out wire rope casing slings, coiling wire rope casing slings into baskets
Ensure all tools and equipment are stowed appropriately at the end of each shift to avoid safety hazards for other operations
Actively participate in the safety programs within the company
Actively participate in safety, departmental, pre-tour, client meetings, etc.
Monitor the environmental conditions to ensure the safety of operations in the facility or work area
Ensure that approved operating procedures are adhered to at all times. Report all unsafe activities, situations, and potential hazards to supervisor
Effectively use all safety and environmental tools employed in the facility or work area
Other duties as assigned
