at our Corporate Office located in Paradise, NL. You will join a team with varied backgrounds, a dedication to excellence, and the common goal of supporting and growing our industry leading business network.
Position Overview The Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Coordinator is responsible for implementing and managing the organizations safety program. They review, evaluate, and monitor safety hazards while developing strategies to prevent, control, and eliminate accidents and occupational injuries. Responsibilities
Oversee the organizations health and safety program.
Lead workplace audits and investigations of safety concerns, incidents and accidents.
Lead workplace inspections to ensure that equipment, materials and production processes do not present a safety or health hazard to employees.
Prepare detailed incident and accident reports when necessary.
Develop, review and update safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with each province’s regulations.
Provide training to employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and the proper use of safety equipment.
Maintain employee training records and schedule renewals as required.

Clear and effective communication skills.
Qualifications
Completion of a certificate or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
2 years of working experience in a similar role.
In depth knowledge of Provincial (NL, NS, NB) Health and Safety regulations.
