Build your knowledge about HEB Manitoba’s services.
Become familiar with HEB’s IT infrastructure and IT service delivery processes.
Get to know your team members and understand their strengths and motivators.
Get to know your peers in the management team.
Over the first year, your responsibilities will increase as you settle into your new role. You will:
Work with business leaders and managers to understand their priorities and align IT Operations and our IT roadmap with business objectives.
Advance the IT department’s level of operational maturity by implementing industry best practices.
Provide technical leadership to new projects.
Oversee the development of services that support HEB’s Information Security Program.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Ensure that incident management and IT support services are delivered to end users in a timely and accurate manner.
Manage the IT department’s financial performance by forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, scheduling expenditures and monitoring variances.
Manage relationships with technology service providers to ensure performance and compliance with agreements.
Ensure that the organization’s IT policies and procedures comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Support your team members’ professional development.
Your qualifications: Education & Experience
Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in a technical discipline (Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, Business Information Technology).
10+ years of progressive experience in IT Operations with various technologies, including MS Windows Server platforms, Active Directory, Storage solutions and Virtual environments (preferably VMWare), Network infrastructure and network connectivity strategies, Enterprise storage platforms
ITIL and ITSM certification (e.g., ITIL Foundation, ITIL Practitioner, ITIL Expert) is considered an asset.
5+ years of experience in directly managing teams responsible for maintaining and managing IT infrastructure, including desktops, networks, servers and storage.
5+ years of experience in leading, coaching and developing others.
Experience in supporting mission critical production environments.
Experience in Information Security frameworks and the technologies that addresses various aspects, including cybersecurity, physical security, risk management and incident response
