Labrador Catering specializes in catering and accommodation services to remote site locations. Our parent company, East Coast Catering, has operations in seven Canadian provinces catering to the oil and gas, marine, mining, and industrial construction sectors.
Janitorial Supervisor

• You are expected to plan, organize, delegate and direct.
• You must coach, motivate, develop and lead your team.
• Strong customer service and the ability to maintain a positive attitude is an expectation.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships with employees is also an expectation.
• You must have the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong sense of urgency is very important.
• Maintain good communication with Management.
• You must ensure that the work is completed daily to a very good standard in the timeframe allotted.
• You are expected to verify daily that all employees have completed their work assignments before you leave for the day.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Update and provide training on use of janitorial equipment, PPE and chemical usage/safety.
• Conduct hands-on training on safety compliance and company policies.
• Conduct one-on-one training and coaching as needed. Assist staff to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and service are achieved.
• Provide feedback on new associates during the orientation period; review trainee records to ensure successful compliance.
• Ensure assigned staff have reported to work and clocked in/out properly. Notify Management of any late or absent employees.
• Assign radios and vehicles to staff.
• Ensure workloads are up to date reflecting the contract and SOW.
• Ensure that fair and equal distribution of daily tasks and responsibilities are assigned to the employees.
• Prepare and lead daily toolbox & safety meetings. Conduct administrative tasks as requested.
• Driving employees to their designated work areas, picking, and dropping off employees.
• Distributing supplies throughout site & completing inventories.

Job Types: Full-time, Casual
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
Schedule:

• 12 hour shift

• Long Harbour-Mount Arlington Heights, NL: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
