Our East River facility, just outside of Hubbards, Nova Scotia, is home to approximately 165 dedicated employees.
Location: Conveniently located 1 minute off Exit 7 from Highway 103, Maibec Can Exel is an easy 30-minute commute from both Bayers Lake and Bridgewater.
Starting Pay: We offer competitive wages starting at $21.58/hr. With training, you could earn up to $25.94/hr in your first year and up to $32.43/hr by the end of your second year. A shift premium of $1.25/hr is available for night shifts.

Key Responsibilities: As a General Operator/Labourer, you will be trained to perform a variety of tasks, such as:

• Operating equipment
• Equipment cleaning
• Fire watch
• Product sorting
• General cleaning

Requirements:

• Willingness to work flexible shifts (8-hour, 12-hour shifts, days, nights, weekends, holidays)
• Previous experience in an industrial setting is a plus
• Forklift or heavy equipment operation experience is an asset
• Successful completion of a background check and pre-employment medical testing is required
