American Iron & Metal, has an opening for an enthusiastic individual to fill a General Labourer position at our Saint John Metal Recycling Operation.
Profile
Under the authority of the Site Manager, the warehouse labour is responsible for performing the sorting of metals as well as serving customers.

Job Description
American Iron & Metal, has an opening for an enthusiastic individual to fill a General Labourer position at our Saint John Metal Recycling Operation.
Profile
Under the authority of the Site Manager, the warehouse labour is responsible for performing the sorting of metals as well as serving customers.
Responsibilities
- Sort the material, divide it into small piles according to quality criteria.
- Operate a forklift
- Clean work area.
- Working inside and outside in all weather conditions
- Sorting, picking, processing and shearing metal pieces
- Preparing materials for shipping
- Operate a tow motor
- Other general labour duties will apply
Qualifications
- Experience in an Industrial setting is an asset
- Must be able to lift up-to 50lbs
- Non-Ferrous Metal experience (an asset).
- Forklift Certified (an asset).
- Responsible and conscientious.
- Respect of health safety measures.
- Ability to work in a team dynamic.
- Capacity to perform physical work.
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team orientated environment
- Ability to work in a loud, dusty environment
