Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Production supervisor, the General Laborer is a key player at Apex Precision by supporting the production and performing various tasks, such as receive and ship material and parts, cut material, deburr parts, prepare tools, janitorial duties and other duties as deemed necessary.
Role Description
Reporting directly to the Production supervisor, the General Laborer is a key player at Apex Precision by supporting the production and performing various tasks, such as receive and ship material and parts, cut material, deburr parts, prepare tools, janitorial duties and other duties as deemed necessary.
Responsibilities

• Help production in various critical tasks.
• Deburr machined parts per drawing as deemed required.
• Clean machined parts as deemed necessary.
• Assemble finished pieces.
• Package and label parts for shipping.
• Deliver material / parts to supplier/customer, if deemed necessary.
• Perform physical inventory count of raw material and finished goods, as part of cycle count and year-end count.
• Perform janitorial duties such as cleaning the office and shop, maintenance of the building, and maintenance of production equipment.
• Other tasks according to production needs.

Qualifications

• 2 years in a manufacturing setting
• Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong and motivated work ethic.
• Class 5 drivers permit and independent mode of transportation.
• Completed WHMIS or Lift permit is a plus.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

• Saint-Lazare, QC J7T 2B8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

• Manufacturing: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (required)
