Floor and Carpet Technician
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor and Carpet Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate would be responsible for stripping, waxing, buffing, deep scrubbing all floor surface types as well as carpet/upholstery cleaning. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This position is part time with the opportunity of full time hours with the company.
You will be required to be available for evenings and weekends. Most of this work is done after business hours.

Pay: $15.08-$30.78 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week

Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance of floors, including sweeping, mopping, deep scrubbing, stripping, buffing, and waxing.
- Operate floor cleaning equipment such as scrubbers, buffers and carpet cleaning equipment.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
- Follow safety protocols while handling cleaning chemicals and operating machinery.
- You may also be required to communicate with clients.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality work.
- Ability to operate floor cleaning machinery safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of various flooring types (carpet, tile, hardwood) and appropriate cleaning methods.
- Good physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing for long periods, lifting and maneuvering heavy objects.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
- Must have 1-2 years experience.
- Must have a vehicle. Do not apply if you do not have a vehicle.
- English and French is an asset to the position.
