Canada North Environmental Services (Can North) is a people-oriented environmental consulting firm that employs biologists, hydrologists, archaeologists, and risk assessment specialists who work across Saskatchewan and outside the province. We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Administrator to join our team. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Preparing and customizing accurate invoices and accruals for each account and client within assigned deadlines.
Application of client payments and monitoring, follow-up on outstanding AR.
Creating new project, client, and vendor records in project management software, following established guidelines and maintaining these records.
Preparing, verifying, and closing purchase orders as needed.
Maintaining historical records by filing documents, maintaining an orderly system.
Providing clerical support including preparing reports and performing other administrative duties.
Maintaining confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information.
Communicating with clients or vendors effectively and professionally.
Demonstrating high attention to detail, strong analytic and problem-solving skills, and ability to multi task.
Experience
A minimum of two years of experience and post-secondary education in accounting. Significant previous experience will be taken into consideration.
Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey financial information clearly.
Strong computer skills in the use of Excel, Outlook, Word. Company specific programs will be taught (BQE CORE).
