Job Description: Digital Practices Lead & Inventory Systems Lead
We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Practices & Inventory Systems Lead to spearhead the implementation of an automated inventory management system with the creation of barcodes/part numbers and integrate these processes into our Point of Sale (POS) system and Ecommerce Site. This role is critical for optimizing our inventory control and enhancing operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end implementation of barcode/part numbering systems for inventory management.
Work with web developer to integrate into POS and Ecommerce.
Collaborate with team to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Identify best practices and industry standards for inventory control and management.
Oversee the integration of barcode systems with existing POS systems to ensure seamless operations.
Assign, update, and maintain part numbers in the inventory system, ensuring they align with product specifications and descriptions.
Analyze current inventory processes and identify areas for improvement.
Implement standardized procedures for inventory tracking, receiving, and replenishment.
Train staff on new systems and processes.
Prepare reports on project progress, outcomes, and future recommendations for management.
Qualifications:
Diploma in Business or Ecommerce, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience in implementing inventory management systems, preferably with barcode/part numbering technology and POS Systems.
Excellent project management skills with a track record of successful digital file management.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience in a wholesale, retail or manufacturing environment would be an asset but not required.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
