Digital Print Operator – Winnipeg, MB

The Position:
The successful candidate will be able to work as part of a team as well as handle individual tasks, and will have experience operating RICOH Pro C7200/8220 printers. Tasks will include training on the operation of Laminator, Binder, and Cutting machines.
Responsibilities and Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
· Using computers and systems to review and process print work orders, data entry, and processing information
· Planning, prioritizing, organizing print runs, including determining correct inputs and loading materials/supplies into equipment
· Tracking and recording all fixed and variable inputs (toner, paper, etc.) for each work order
· Monitoring and efficiently controlling resources/inputs (Inventory management, order supplies)
· Testing and trouble-shooting print runs to completion (visual-colors, trim, pages #’s, readability)
· Quality control of inputs (toner, paper, etc.) visually identify differences, or detect changes within each print run and take corrective action
· Providing guidance, advice, and effectively communicating to management or other groups on technical, systems, or process related topics
· Regular preventative maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating production equipment
· Performing day-to-day administrative tasks
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience using RICOH printers is considered an asset (training will be provided)
· Mechanical aptitude
· Excellent time-management and organizational skills, pro-active, flexible, open to new processes
· Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills
· High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to distinguish between colors (no color blindness)
· Full mobility to handle climbing, lifting, balancing and handling heavy materials/inputs as required
