Woodcutter’s Brewing is an equal opportunity employer located in Whitehorse Yukon’ who is a purveyor of excellent one-off beers without the use of filters, animal products or chemicals to finish our beers. We are ramping up in-house specialty malt production for these beers that are directly poured from serving tanks in our commitment to interesting and fresh beer. Simply, we are old world brewers well steeped in modern brewing science with an artistic approach to creating well-crafted Ales and Lagers.

who we are looking for

Woodcutter’s Brewing Company is looking for a motivated and passionate individual who loves craft beer, has brewing experience, interested in malting (yep, you read that right), enjoys going to festivals, etc.

Reports To

• Brewmaster
  

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years of age
  
• Previous brewing experience and or certification preferred.
  
• Must be extremely enthusiastic about craft beer
  
• Excellent problem-solving skills along with a firm gasp of GSD principles.
  
• Exemplary customer service skills
  
• Willing to work weekends, weekdays, evenings, and some holidays
  
• Strong attention to detail
  
• Must really like beer!!!!
  
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl
  
• Ability to repeatedly lift 55 LBs
  
• Ability to work near moving mechanical parts
  
• Ability to work in extreme cold and hot environments
  
• Ability to work with hazardous chemicals
  
• Ability to work safely in a noisy, wet, hazardous environment
  
• Must follow all SOPs
  

Job Responsibilities

• Educate customers about Woodcutter’s Brewing and Beers
  
• Clean draft lines
  
• Keep detailed logs of all work completed
  
• Craft / Design specialty malts
  
• CIP of tanks
  
• Cellaring
  
• Brewing
  
• Recipe development
  
• Performing and Recording basic Beer Science
  
• Tasting beer for QA/QC purposes
  
• Take accurate inventories
  
• Equipment Maintenance as required
  
• Clean Brewery floors, tanks, counters, taps, equipment and bathroom
  
• Other tasks as needed.
