Auto Body Technician

Overview
At 2nd Chance Automotive we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional auto body repair services with a commitment to quality. Our team is passionate about restoring vehicles to their former glory, and we are looking for a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our experienced and enthusiastic team. The incumbent is detailed oriented and can multitask to accommodate shifting priorities.
Responsibilities
As an Auto Body Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers' vehicles are restored to their original condition. Your expertise will be essential in performing a variety of tasks, including:

  • Providing professionalism in customer service
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
  • Replacing front end components, body components, doors, and frame and underbody components
  • Filing, grinding, and sanding body surfaces to be repaired
  • Masking and taping auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
  • Hammering out dents, buckles, and defects using blocks and hammers
  • Removing damaged fenders, panels, and grills, and bolting or welding replacement parts into place
  • Applying primers and repainting surfaces
  • Repairing or replacing interior components
  • Mixing paint, blending, and matching colors
  • Operating soldering equipment or using plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams
Experience

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
This role is fast-paced and physically demanding. You should be prepared for:
  • Attention to detail
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching
  • Standing/and or sitting for extended periods
  • Carrying, Lifting – 100 lbs
  • Valid Drivers license required
Tools and Equipment
You will need to bring your own tools and steel-toed safety boots to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
