Administrator

Qualifications must include:
MUST have an Early Childhood Education Diploma with MINIMUM Level 2 and infant, toddler and preschool certification with AECENL (Association of early childhood educators of Newfoundland and Labrador)
current and clear Police Records check and Vulnerable sector check from Newfoundland and Labrador
First Aid training
minimum of 3 years experience of working in center based childcare in Canada
minimum of 2 successful years with administrative duties
two references must be provided with resume.
must be residing in Canada
Speak english ( english exam scores must be provided)
Work permit must not expire before 2028 or person must have permanent residency
Must have personal transportation and reside in the local area.
Administrator duties include providing quality and compassionate guidance for the staff and the children in your care. Completing necessary office duties and on the floor, duties as needed this can include but not limited to:
sending emails
making social media posts as required
filing documents (staff files, childrens files) ensuring that all staff certification and contracts are up to date, ensuring children's files are current and complete
answering telephone calls
ensuring staff are equipped with necessary forms and documents to complete their daily tasks.
Administrator is responsible for scheduling staff shifts and appointment times and holidays.
Schedule professional development opportunities both in person and online for staff
contact outside sources for entertainment for children and schedule visits
arrange special events for children throughout the year
Connect with fellow administrators from our other locations to arrange center wide cohesion and ensure that all centers are adequately staffed.
sign for deliveries such as materials and equipment
ensure homerooms, outdoor spaces, the centers kitchen is adequately stocked.
accompany inspectors, social workers, consultants and outside specialists ( Occupational therapist, Speech Therapists, Direct home services etc.) sign and relay reports to Licensee in a timely manner (within 24 hours)
assist Licensee with relicensing as needed ( homeroom schedules, homeroom arrangements, menu selection, staffing requirements and pairing, daily, weekly, monthly inspections, updating and maintaining staff and children's files)
complete parent orientations and provide parent handbooks and registration packages
be familiar with AECENL, membership, their lending library, bursary applications, orientation programs, the Public Library lending resources.
Have clear communication skills (relative training is ideal, training can also be provided) Be able to communicate effectively and respectfully with staff, clients and licensees.
Show dedication and a positive attitude as well as an over all appreciation for the well runnings of the center and the company as a whole.
have the maturity and related social skills to effectively direct staff and provide necessary guidance, mentorship, corrrection, disciplinary action as required under licensees recommendations. This will include providing verbal and written notices and also be resonsible for dismissing employees who do not meet the requirements and who do not follow their duties and those who complete actions that aquire violations.
Work in ratio as needed
Cleaning duties include; working with fellow team staff to complete diapering, sweeping, mopping, small garbage collection, maintaining cleanliness and organization of homerooms, office space, storage areas, kitchen and outdoor spaces as needed.
Homeroom duties include; daily, weekly, monthly planning, maintaining attendance register, collection of relative documentation and submitting required documentation to necessary contacts as required. working with fellow employees supervising during outside play.
