Supervisor Inventory Management (M/F/D)

The Opportunity:

Avantor is on the lookout for a motivated Supervisor Inventory Management to join the team in Braine-l’Alleud. In this position, you will take full responsibility for the development & monitoring of our inventory management digital solution, in combination with managing the day-to-day operations of your own team. This is a full-time position based on the site of our customer, UCB Pharma, in Braine-l’Alleud. You get a permanent contract, together with an attractive salary and multiple benefits including meal vouchers, 13th month, additional annual bonus, pension scheme, health insurance and more.

Working hours: Monday – Friday, flexible start time between 07:30 and 09:00 and finish time as of 16:00

The team

You are responsible for a team of 30 - 35 associates, of which four coordinators reporting directly into you. These coordinators are the first point of contact for the other associates within your team. You’ll closely collaborate with one other Supervisor onsite and together with your team and colleagues, you belong to our department Lab and Production Services. This division of Avantor supports leading pharmaceutical companies and laboratories all over the world, in Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry.

What we’re looking for

Education : Bachelor’s degree related to Logistics

Experience :

In Team Management and inventory management
In a data focused and analytical role

Preferred qualifications:

Strong skills in MS Office, ERP-systems and Data Management
Effective and fluent communication skills in both English and French
Knowledge of scientific activities is a strong asset
Strong analytical skills, to the point, and customer centric
Great coaching and mentoring capacities
Perseverant, structured and diplomatic

How you will thrive and create an impact

Lead & coach your team, providing an individual development plan, clear guidance, training, and support
Act as a point of contact for our Digital Solution, Customer Service & Sales teams.
Regularly meet with relevant stakeholders to review the services and new opportunities
Continuously develop the performed services through innovation and support and drive sustainability efforts to meet the client´s targets
Develop and implement inventory management strategies and processes in order to optimize consumable inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and reduce costs
Establish and maintain a centralized stock within the organization, leveraging our software tools for efficient tracking, monitoring, and analysis of inventory levels
Collaborate with lab managers and research teams to understand specific inventory requirements, identify potential bottlenecks, and develop solutions to streamline processes
Monitor and evaluate service levels per lab, stock turnover rates, shortages, and other relevant metrics to assess the effectiveness of inventory management strategies and implement corrective actions as necessary
