Avantor is on the lookout for a motivated Lab Support & Quality Lead to join the team in Braine-l’Alleud. In this position, you will take full responsibility of different activities and your own team, to support Production entities and Research labs in the pharma industry where compliance is key. This is a full-time position based on the site of our customer, UCB Pharma, in Braine-l’Alleud. You get a permanent contract, together with an attractive salary and multiple benefits including meal vouchers, 13th month, additional annual bonus, pension scheme, health insurance and more.
Working hours: Monday – Friday, flexible start time between 07:30 and 09:00 and finish time as of 16:00
The team
You ‘ll lead a team of 18 associates, of which three coordinators reporting directly into you. These coordinators are the first point of contact for the other 15 associates within your team. You’ll closely collaborate with one other Supervisor at the same location. Together with your team and colleagues, you belong to our department Lab and Production Services, a division of Avantor supporting leading pharmaceutical companies and laboratories all over the world, in Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry.

Education
: Bachelor’s degree related to Logistics, Sciences or Technology
Experience
:
In a quality related role
In team management
In a regulated environment is a must, preferably in Pharma, Chemistry, Production or similar
Preferred qualifications:
Strong skills in MS Office and general affinity with computer program’s
Effective and fluent communication skills in both English and French
To the point, detail oriented, and responsible
Quality focused, customer centric and a great team player
How you will thrive and create an impact Team Management:
Lead & coach your team, providing a strong individual development plan, clear guidance, training, and objectives
Act as a point of contact for our partner and collaborate with other departments within Avantor as required (Talent Acquisition, HR, Sales, …)
Meet with relevant internal and external stakeholders to review services and new opportunities
Manage strategic projects upon internal and external request, for example related to the implementation of digital solutions
Participate in the recruitment of new talent, collaborating closely with Talent Acquisition and Human Resources
Continuously develop the performed services through innovation, and support and drive sustainability efforts to meet the client´s targets
Quality Management:
Review work procedures and manage the qualification of lab equipment
Plan the periodical maintenance of equipment and welcome Technicians onsite
Manage validations and deviations
