Position:
Ayesa are seeking to appoint a Principal Marine Structural Engineer, to play a critical role in the design and delivery of complex marine structures such as piers, jetties, harbors, offshore platforms, and coastal defenses. You will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams, overseeing project delivery, and ensuring that all technical designs meet client expectations and industry standards. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of marine and coastal structures, including ports, breakwaters, jetties, offshore platforms, and sea defenses.
Provide technical leadership, guiding teams in the structural analysis, design, and construction of marine projects.
Ensure all projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.
Oversee project management, from initial design through to construction, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (civil, coastal, geotechnical) to provide integrated solutions.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and contractors, managing relationships and addressing technical queries.
Drive business development efforts, identifying new opportunities and assisting in securing key projects.
Contribute to the strategic growth of the marine structural division, both regionally and globally.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
Professional accreditation (PE, CEng, or equivalent).
10+ years of experience in marine structural design, with a proven track record of leading complex marine projects.
Expertise in the structural analysis and design of marine infrastructure, including experience with relevant design software (e.g., SACS, STAAD.Pro).
Strong understanding of coastal processes, wave dynamics, and their effects on marine structures.
Proven leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
Experience in business development, with a focus on securing marine infrastructure projects.
