Job Title: Civil Engineer / Construction Project Coordinator Location: Bahrain Company: ROCKS Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer (3-5 years experience) who will also serve as the Construction Project Coordinator. This dual role requires a strong foundation in civil engineering principles, alongside excellent project management skills to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. Key Responsibilities:
Design and Engineering:
Develop detailed engineering designs and specifications for civil projects.
Conduct feasibility studies and site investigations to inform design processes.
Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards and regulations.
Project Coordination:
Plan, organize, and coordinate construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to establish project timelines and deliverables.
Monitor project progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and reports.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards.
Provide regular updates to management and stakeholders on project status and potential risks.
Budget Management:
Assist in preparing project budgets and forecasts.
Track project expenditures and ensure financial accountability.
Team Leadership:
Coordinate and lead project teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration among all members.
Foster a positive working environment and resolve any conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.
Attend project meetings and represent the company in public forums as necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Proven experience in civil engineering design and construction project management.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, safety regulations, and building codes.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in project management software and engineering design tools.
