Gilgandra Shire Council is seeking a Water & Sewerage Operator to join the Infrastructure team!
Permanent full time - 38 hours per week
Rostered day off every fortnight - an extra 22 days off a year!
Weekly pay cycle
Salary range $1155.40 - $1386.45
ABOUT THE ROLE To ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Gilgandra and Tooraweenah Water Supplies which will involve upkeep, maintenance and repair of all associated plant treatment required for the collection of raw and distribution of treated water. This position also provides the efficient and effective operation of the sewerage collection networks, treatment works and the effluent disposal system; maintenance and repair of all associated plant and collection units and liaises with the members of the public in regards to complaints and/or system breakdowns. Essential Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023.
ABOUT YOU Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and/or qualifications:
Possession of Work Cover WH&S Construction Induction Training (White Card)
Current Drivers Licence Class C
Basic numeracy and literacy skills
Water Operations Certificate
Sewerage Works Certificate
Fluoride Operations Certificate
Confined Spaces entry Certification
Basic understanding of computer literacy
Understand the principles of computer based treatment and processing systems
ability to perform all labouring duties relevant to the tasks required of the position
