Student and Agent Support Officer (English and Japanese)
A new exciting job opportunity has just opened in Sydney - Scots English College, is now seeking a dedicated Student and Agent Support Officer (Casual) to join its multicultural and multilingual team. Fluency in English and Japanese is required. Located in the heart of Sydney CBD, our modern campus is just moments away from Central Station. This role involves assessing current student needs in line with current legislation and promoting student wellbeing and empowerment. This position also requires healthy connections and energetic dynamics with the Institute’s teams and other external parties to enhance the student experience. This role is expected to achieve the goals and high standards of Scots English College through the effective performance of Student Services related Policies and Procedures. This role act as an independent first contact for students. Duties include:
Assist students with their Enrolment
Be the first point of contact for student inquiries and refer students to appropriate personnel
Maintain daily/weekly tabulation of attendance records
Update student data input in the Student Management System (RTO Manager)
Invigilate placement tests (online or in-person when required)
Support and implement Quality Assurance Systems Policy and Procedures
Liaise with Japanese educational agents and provide them the support they need before and throughout their students' enrolment.
Key selection criteria:
Fluency in both Japanese (native or native-like) and English (minimum intermediate)
Relevant qualification or experience in related fields
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Proven problem-solving skills
Demonstrated cultural awareness and ability to relate and communicate effectively and appropriately to students from an international background
Excellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritize work effectively
Ability to work under pressure
Willingness to learn and accept constructive feedback
Desirable
Prior experience in a similar role
Fluency in more than 2 languages (such as Korean, Portuguese etc)
