About Our Role
An exciting opportunity exists in the full-time permanent role of Storeperson based at our Devonport based vegetable processing facility.
Since opening in 1942, our Devonport site has a proud history in the local community. The site processes vegetables including peas, beans, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower and onions that are grown by our local Tasmanian growers. The close proximity to our growers assists in ensuring that the vegetables are blanched, snap frozen and packed soon after being harvested at their peak.
This is a demanding multi-function Store role, supporting all employees and departments across the site with PPE, consumables and our Packing Room with packaging consumables for efficient operation.

What You Will Do
Production Storeperson, duties will include but are not limited to the following;
Forklift operations - loading / unloading of third party vehicles containing production consumables and movement of consumables to the various production areas of the plant. Our forklifts operate via finger toggle controls, and are a mix of gas & electric units.
Timely and accurate stocktaking, consistent with Simplot and procedures.
Purchasing of site materials
Data entry into Windows based PC systems
Inventory Management
Warehouse Management
Provide timely information and advice to Production Planner and fellow team members on critical issues and activities.
Keep the Production Planner informed on activities, developments, issues and changes which may or will impact on operations.
About You
Demonstrated Storeperson experiences within a manufacturing or industrial environment (essential)
Strong attention to detail
LF Forklift licenced with demonstrated experience (mandatory)
Intermediate / Advanced level of PC skills using the Windows OS & MS Office suite of products
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organisational and time management skills
Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical (incl. urine base drug & alcohol screening)
