Skilled Horticultural Worker

The South Australian Potato Company is currently seeking multiple skilled horticultural workers to plant, harvest and process crops.
The candidates will be required to work at various farm locations including :
1235 o Loughlin Road, Parilla South, 5303
387 Wall Road, Peebinga, 5304
Job role:

Operation and maintenance of spraying machinery and equipment
Undertake the complete life-cycle of a crop from sowing, management including fumigation and irrigation, to harvesting.
Land preparation for commencing of planting – disking, deep ripping and cultivating.
Operating irrigation pivot for multiple crops.
Be proficient is use of machinery and equipment for working on the farm.
Ensure upkeep and maintenance of farm equipment and machinery including minor calibration like adjusting speed, height and depth of implements.
General farm maintenance and activities as required.
Work outside of hours and over weekends when required to harvest crops in rotation with farm manager

Key Attributes and Experience sought from the ideal candidates

Candidate should have at least 1 year working experience in this role.
Potato production with potato harvesting experience highly regarded
Must possess strong work ethic and be willing to work as part of a team.
Sound communication, computer and reporting skills required.
