PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Perform routine operation, monitoring and maintenance of Water Services assets associated with sewer headworks including wastewater Treatment
plants in the Darwin and surrounding areas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The “WHAT” to be delivered
- Monitor and operate Darwin and Northern Region Minor centres Sewer Headworks systems, operational system validations and Treatment
systems in accordance with agreed operational and Waste discharge licence including existing team practices and procedures.
- This includes the requirement to work with treatment chemicals such as chlorine gas etc.
- The requirement to enter Confined Spaces on occasions to undertake works. The entry to a confined space requires use of Self Contained
Breathing Apparatus and where applicable working at heights certifications.
- Perform Headworks duties in professional manner, utilising skills, knowledge and experience to achieve appropriate fit for purpose outcomes.
- Provide a high level of customer service through direct interaction and a positive relationship to represent the obligations of PWC.
- Participate as a proactive and valued member of the team to assist achievement of the teams’ objectives.
- Participate in a routine on-call roster to provide response to urgent after-hours system faults that may occur.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Qualification and Skills Experience
Essential • AQF Certificate III in water operations and • Relevant knowledge and experience in the operation
