Additional Information:
- These roles are Permanent Part-time, 30hrs - 40hrs/fortnight.
- As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts, where the spread of hours will be between 8:00am to 9:30pm. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).

About these work areas
As a Sales Co-worker (Kitchen Planner) your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Be an IKEA Ambassador by understanding that you impact our customer’s experience by being able to offer solutions and answer questions that relate to their kitchen and home furnishing needs.
- Actively approach customers to identify their needs by asking insightful questions and advising them on the best kitchen solutions for them.
- Supporting customers with their kitchen design process using the kitchen planning 3D rendering software and accessory workshop. You will build strong relationships with the customer throughout their planning journey.
- Responsible for ensuring that the sales area is stocked, presentable, attractively merchandised and correctly priced.
- Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Stay knowledgeable about in-store specials, delivery options, product features and benefits.
As a Sales Co-worker (Self Serve Furniture Area) your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Engaging and assist customers in understanding their needs and providing your knowledge on IKEA products and services to support their purchasing decisions.
- Actively participating in selling products with a positive attitude and contribute to business goals and growth.
- Condensing stock, including unloading pallets and cutting boxes open to restock appropriate products.
- Working closely with the fulfilment team to ensure the self serve warehouse is always well-stocked, tidy and presentable.
- Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Assisting customers with loading flatpacks or products onto their flat trolleys when required.
As a Sales Co-worker (Bedrooms) your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Engaging and assist customers in understanding their needs and providing your knowledge on IKEA products and services to support their purchasing decisions.
- Actively participating in selling products with a positive attitude and contribute to business goals and growth.
- Maintaining a clean and organised sales area, ensuring all products are properly priced and fully stocked.
- Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
As a Product Recovery & Quality Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Engaging and assist customers in understanding their needs and providing your knowledge on IKEA products and services to support their purchasing decisions.
- Present IKEA products in As-Is using a strong commercial expression, selling these products with pride and setting relevant prices that are attractive to customers yet still generate the best results for the store.
- Take necessary action on products to give them a second chance, such as repackaging them back into a saleable condition.
- Assembling our products according to proper building and enclosed instructions to ensure complete functionality.
- Support the quality work in the store to constantly improve customers' quality perception of IKEA products.
- Always consider the sustainability impact when deciding when and how to recover products.
- Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment that cultivates a strong understanding of product recovery, quality and compliance processes.
- Maintaining a safe and secure environment within the IKEA store, always ensuring the well-being of both customers and co-workers.
As Sales Co-worker you are or have:
- Passionate about our home furnishing products and working with customers.
- Proficient computer skills and an ability to learn about all technical aspects of the IKEA range.
- Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment and manage your own tasks.
- A calm and confident approach along with strong communication and customer skills, ensuring we keep the customer in mind no matter what we do.
- A ‘Togetherness’ mindset where you’ll work closely with your team and other departments yet also be able to work independently.
- A safety mindset and being comfortable with physical work and manual handling including repetitive lifting.
