Moree Plains Shire Council is seeking a highly motivated individual to work within the Regional Activation Unit.
Temporary up to two (2) years, Full-Time – 35 hours per week OR open to negotiating part-time hours

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Regional Activation Projects Officer will be responsible for supporting Council’s role in local economic development and Council’s interface with major economic infrastructure projects, in particular, the Melbourne to Brisbane Inland Rail Project (Inland Rail), the Moree Special Activation Precinct (SAP) and associated regional activation activities. Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023. Further details about the role can be found in the Position Description.
ABOUT YOU
Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and/or qualifications:
Cert IV or Business Administration, Project Management or Marketing and Communication, or equivalent relevant to the position. (Applicants who do not hold the relevant qualification but with equivalent relevant professional experience, may be considered in some instances, however, a lower salary may apply).
Minimum one year of experience working in a project environment or managing projects.
Extensive experience in business administration functions, customer service and internal and external stakeholder liaison.
Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail in relation to spelling, grammar, punctuation and consistency when completing final edits of documents.
High level of accuracy in processing of data and conducting financial transactions.
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to correctly format professional documents, use the internet for research, communicate effectively through emails and develop and utilise spreadsheets and databases.
Experience in coordinating customer responses with critical deadlines.
