About the Role:
Are you passionate about fitness and ready to lead a dynamic front-of-house team? UFC GYM Bankstown is seeking an energetic and motivated Reception Manager to oversee the daily operations of our reception and customer service areas. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our members have a seamless and welcoming experience. This role also supports the General Manager in managing reception staff, maintaining high customer service standards, and ensuring smooth club operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Create a Welcoming Environment: Inspire your team to deliver exceptional service, making members feel motivated to achieve their fitness goals.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage the reception team. Provide ongoing support to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Customer Service: Be the face of UFC GYM, ensuring all member inquiries and concerns are addressed professionally and efficiently.
  • Sales and Retention Support: Assist the General Manager in executing sales strategies and membership retention efforts, contributing to club growth.
  • Facility Management: Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation in reception areas, ensuring a high standard of operational performance.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage daily cash handling, membership processing, reporting, and other administrative tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Promotions and Marketing: Help drive member acquisition and retention by supporting in-club promotions and local marketing activities.
  • Culture Building: Foster a positive, inclusive, and fun culture within the gym for both members and staff.
Sales and Business Development:
  • Achieve personal and team sales targets set by the Head of Operations/C.E.O.
  • Identify local businesses, schools, and universities for potential partnerships to grow the club’s membership base.
  • Plan and organize monthly promotional activities to increase member engagement and acquisition.
  • Prepare for and attend sales and company meetings regularly.
  • Support staff development by conducting training on sales and operational procedures.
Compliance and Communication:
  • Adhere to all UFC GYM systems, marketing guidelines, quality control benchmarks, and reporting systems.
  • Liaise with the Regional Club Manager and Head Office to ensure smooth club operations, including lead generation and retail sales.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports to the Regional Club Manager.
  • Follow all company policies and ensure membership contracts are communicated clearly to potential members.
About You:
  • Proven experience in a people management role within the fitness, hospitality, or customer service industry (3-5 years).
  • Strong leadership skills with a passion for fitness and customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and inspire your team.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and solve problems as they arise.
  • Proven track record of meeting KPIs and operational goals, including sales targets.
  • Proficient in administration and relevant software systems.
  • First Aid Certification preferred but not essential.

Pay: $55,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
