The Opportunity
Are you ready to take charge of health, safety, security, and environmental standards in our Brisbane office? We are seeking an experienced QHSSE Advisor to lead and manage these critical areas independently, with the full support of our team based in Perth and Adelaide. Reporting directly to the Perth-based QHSSE Manager, you will be the go-to person in Brisbane, ensuring our operations maintain the highest standards.
With approximately 60 staff in the office on a hybrid working arrangement, this is a rare opening for a positive, self-starting individual who enjoys taking full ownership and accountability of the portfolio, from administrative tasks through to investigations, travel to project sites and everything in between.
Duties include:
- Develop project execution plans and other QHSSE related documentation
- Facilitate the Brisbane HAZID assessment program
- Effectively communicate, distribute and implement health, safety and environmental information between Fugro and clients during projects
- Support line management to investigate incidents
- Carry out audits, inspections and reviews of HSE management activities (including hygiene and health) to ensure compliance to Fugro’s Business Management System
- Ensure compliance with the relevant safety management system, statutory requirements and project specific HSE and emergency management plans
- Provide general QHSSE support to the Brisbane office and remote sites

About You

Your success in securing this role will require:
- Highly experienced working in HSE operational support within the industrial, construction or mining work environment
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or similar formal HSE training
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Ability to communicate effectively with different people
