Role Overview We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Project Engineering Coordinator to manage and execute our Capital projects from the first enquiry to the delivery stage. This role involves assessing project requirements, reviewing technical orders and specification, coordinating production activities with our Brisbane plant, and working with our supplier. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical mind, attention to detail, and project management experience. Key Responsibilities
Contract & Project Management:
Develop, review, and manage contract variations and ensure compliance.
Apply continuous improvements to enhance inventory operations (enhance flow control for equipment and supplies).
Identify potential risks and perform root cause analysis to improve the quality and service level of the company.
Respond to technical inquiries and resolve contract or service-related issues.
Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
Coordination & Communication:
Process and track orders, ensuring timely updates and resolutions.
Handle customer requests and coordinate with suppliers, including expediting deliveries.
Liaise with manufacturing, finance, and sales teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
Log and manage tickets in the ERP system (we use SAP).
Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare and review reports on projects and organisational activities.
Analyse data and report on project outcomes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
Strong experience in designing mechanical systems and coordinating project phases, particularly in manufacturing and construction environments.
Ability to develop technical specifications and ensure they meet both project and industry standards.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with clients and production teams.
Knowledge of project management tools and software, including MS Office (Excel, MS Project), SAP, and ERP systems.
Preferred Experience
Previous experience in industrial engineering roles within the mining, infrastructure, or heavy industry sectors.
Familiarity with client-facing roles, specifically regarding project feasibility, plant inspections, and performance optimization.
